Welcome and Fitness is Attainable


Warm Welcome to Get Fit No Xcuse Fitness
I am a Coach for Beachbody®. As a Coach, I will provide motivation, support, and general guidelines for their products and your own success in your goals. I am sure there are several blogs and websites in this area so my blog will be focused on my own journey and success in this area.

The past 13 years, my job has been sitting 7 and half hours a day, at a console staring at a computer screen as a Radio Operator. My workout regiment throughout the years was somewhat sporadic. I had joined fitness clubs, played city league softball, but workouts were not consistent. Coupled with that inconsistency, I also suffered a couple of injuries that limited my fitness routines.

In March 2010, I saw myself on video from my Church's Veteran's Choir from the year before. I was shocked!! At that moment, I made a decision to get back in shape. Low and behold, the Beachbody - P90X® Infomercial was being broadcast when I turned off the video.

So I made the commitment to myself and immediately ordered the program. I also ordered their Whey Protein Powder, P90X® Results and Recovery Formula, P90X® Chocolate Peanut Butter Peak Performance Bars, and Activit® Metabolism Multivitamins to incorporate into my nutrition plan.

As a 55 year old female at 5'7” and 190 pounds, with a Body Mass Index of 27.3, my weight was considered as overweight. I know at my age the weight loss would be a problem if I didn't make a strong commitment and stick to a plan.

In April, a couple of co-workers and I pledged to lose some weight in 90 days. I knew I had an advantage, I had a plan with P90X®. I took my pictures and measurement as the program suggested so my body's transformation would be my encouragement.

At first, I didn't let anyone know what I was doing. Then they started to notice a change in my energy levels and body appearance. Well, I did let them know I was doing P90X® with Tony Horton in the comfort of my own home. The hardest challenge I had to overcome was the daily commitment to a set time and to "Press Play". I just had to remember a quote Tony would say “Do your best and forget the rest”.

The Coaches on Beachbodys' forum are great motivators and helped me get my nutrition plan in order so I could start losing the fat/weight. About two weeks before I completed my 90 days with P90X®, I decided I could become a Coach and help others in their struggle to control their weight and get fit.

In July, I completed P90X® with a weight loss of 20 pounds and then I continued on with Slim in 6®. I hadn't quite reached my goal of 45 pounds, but I hadn't given up. I started drinking Shakeology®, a meal replacement drink, every morning as my Breakfast. With Slim in 6®, I lost 15 more pounds in 6 weeks. I did a variety of workouts: Slim in 6®, Power 90®, P90X®, Turbo Jam®, and Hip Hop Abs® until October due to scheduled vacations.

In October, I started Round 2 of P90X® getting through the first phase when I achieved my goal of losing 45 pounds, and now I am maintaining my weight and nutrition. If you would like to join me, click here to order your workout program.  Fitness goals are attainable!
