Optimum Results in Diet with Exercise

Nobody really likes the word "Diet", because of all the fad diets that exist. Through out the years, I have followed many different diets. Some of the diets you may have heard that I have tried are Atkins, South Beach, Eating Right for you Type, Sugar Busters, and The Zone. I know there are many more than this to a total exceeding 88 different types.

How many actually incorporate food journaling your meals?

What is food journaling?

Simply, writing down everything you consume with as much detail as possible. It doesn’t have to be done with anal precision, but the more detail you can include, the more useful and valuable an exercise it is. (... And The better the results you’ll get.)

Food Journaling is a difficult exercise because of the mental hurdle it represents. Most people won’t want to share the details of their food life with you. Or themselves. It’s akin to asking them about their sex life.

P90X and Beachbody in the News!

Did you catch Tony Horton creator of P90X on the Today Show this morning? Here is the clip of 5 Moves for a Beach Ready Body.

I'm just amazed with the number of stories that  P90X and Beachbody is in the news. Sure, we all want to fight obesity, and the decision to join in the fight has to be a strong commitment. Here is a news story from CNN - The Little Black Dress of Fitness

A year ago, I made the decision myself to order P90X from an informerical. Two important reasons for me to make this decision: 1) I was not happy with the way my body looked; 2) I was turning double nickels and my age would make my journey to loose weight much harder.

Now, I can tell when I don't workout or I have cheated on my meals as my body tells me so.

Modesto runner stays strong for 2nd straight marathon crown

It was a great morning watching all the participants at the annual Modesto Marathon. As a volunteer this morning, I got to encourage the runners of all ages. This time next year, I hope to be running in the 5K. Wow, the last 5K and 10K races I ran was in 1980's in New Orleans.
